Reading Isaacson's Einstein: His Life and Universe and found a great quote:
When shown his office, he was asked what equipment he might need. "A desk or table, a chair, paper and pencils," he replied. "Oh yes, and a large wastebasket, so I can throw away all my mistakes." -- p. 426
It seems that Einstein, one of the greatest scientific minds of all time, knew that it was necessary to fail your way to success. FIDO -- Forget It and Drive On
This is a wonderful book on success. Just like, in reality, we're all in sales, we're also all coaches.
There are five steps to becoming the "coach" you were meant to be:
1) Crystallize Your Thinking
What do you want?
Why do you want it?
Why do you not already have it? <-- this is a critical question to answer!
What are the benefits?
How will you know when you get it? Another critical question to nail down.
Where will it lead you? In other words, after you accomplish this goal, what's next?
2) Put your Plan of Action in Writing
3) Create Passion and Desire
4) Develop Confidence and Trust
5) Foster Commitment and Responsibility
