Dox^2 Makes A Great Global Warming Point

Comments

Well China might be the worlds biggest polluter, but considering they consist of a 3rd of the worlds population, and are doing more than any other nation in the world to reduce their greenhouse emissions and get their country all nature freindly, that point is kinda irrelevant.

"And the Kyoto Accord would merely transfer wealth from countries that can afford to buy credits to third-world countries" And we sure wouldn't wanna transfer wealth to starving children in 3rd world countries now would we? I have to admit their governments would probably spend it stockpiling AK's and Rpg's, but I get the impression that the thought of helping helping out 3rd world countries disgusts you (wich, considering the message on your banner, is kinda ironic).

we sure wouldn't wanna transfer wealth to starving children in 3rd world countries

I'd rather teach them to fish than give them a fish. And please don't come here with "it's for the children" because we see right through that.

Too bad there isn't much fish in third world countries, cause you own them all, or your corporations poisened the water in wich they live in, besides, education costs money, or were you planning on teaching them yourself in your spare time?

" And please don't come here with "it's for the children" because we see right through that.." yeah you saw right through it all right, out of sight is out of mind after all.
Here's a t-shirt for you.
I like mine better, it says "each generation should live better than the last."

It has a nice positive focus, and it dosn't attempt to distract people from the fact that you have no counter argument to my previous comment. :P

Too bad there isn't much fish in third world countries, cause you own them all, or your corporations poisened the water in wich [sic] they live in

How am I supposed to provide a counter-argument to such a general, hysterical assertion? :)

Thats the spirit :D

So lets take a look at a boring and often repeated statistic "According to UNICEF, 30,000 children die each day due to poverty." now you may or may not think this is a hysterical assumption or not, but wether the statistic is true or not, i've seen photographs of it, i've seen video footage of it, and more importantly I know someone who has gone over there as a volunteer nurse and seen it with their own eyes.

Now to prove my histerical assertion, allot of these kids Don't have enough clean water. Corporations have poisened the water (and the ground too), and corporations also own allot of the water and thus own the fish in the water.

I admit that saying 'your' corporations is stupid and wrong, and for that I apologise.

Now for the part of my argument that you ignored, apart from the fact that I've established that knowing how to fish would not actualy help these people, I would also like to point out these people people probably do know how to fish, hunt, and farm, and that even if they didn't they'd be able to figure it out on their own because "Sometimes it isn't until you take action that you realize the ability, talent, and greatness within. -- TJ Hoisington" knowing these things is not enough, because they do not have the resources to get started.

In conclusion, if we want to get these people in a position to help themselves, it's gonna cost money. I'm all for creating self sutaining communities, but I also acknowledge they need a helping hand.

[this is good]
Thanks for the plug.
In case you don't know, the US has sent billions to these countries to help them have the resources to get themselves out of poverty. The US also sent people to teach them how to upgrade their lives, how to use the tools we supplied, how to build homes and schools, etc. But one thing we didn't count on was the warring factions between different tribes and the ransacking, pillage and murdering that continues to halt any improvement. If you don't think we do enough, please tell me any country that does more? As a taxpayer, I am tired of seeing our money wasted or stolen by corrupt leaderships around the world.
